Read a good article

I just read a short, but good article on the Cloth Diaper Whisperer's blog.  It was written by a guest writer, and she talked about how she used disposables with her first child, but she had many....issues.  She called them "explosions".  Doesn't sound very fun.  But with her second, she has switched to cloth and hasn't had any problems.
I love that my cloth diapers almost never leak.  The only--and it's rare--time they do is if I leave her in one too long, or she falls asleep before I can change her.  As long as I change her on a decent timetable, we do fine.  And honestly, my Wonder Wraps really never leak.  Every other type I have has leaked at some point.  The only time I had any trouble with my Wonder Wraps was when I was first starting out and I was using the wrong kind of prefold in them, because I didn't know any better.  Once I stopped using the birdseye diapers, I stopped having leaks.  (The problem with the birdseye diapers was they aren't real diapers.  They are really just for burp cloths, even though they're marketed as diapers.  They have some kind of fiber filling in the center of them, which does not absorb liquid, it actually seems to repel it.  So they just don't work.)  Now, I use my Wonder Wraps all day at home, and only use the pocket diapers when we go out, because they are just as easy to use as disposables.  The prefolds do require an extra step or two, depending on if you use a microfiber insert with them, which I do.  The pockets are quick and simple, and that's what I like when I'm out and about.
