I have some "before" pictures of my kitchen corner where we put some cabinets in. They are almost completely finished. Cali came by tonight to put the end piece on but her battery died on some tool she was using so she'll come back another day to finish. Then I'll have more pictures for you.
I am about to show you how bad my kitchen looks. It's bad, people. There is so much clutter in my kitchen that it makes me want to scream. You are going to see one of my most hated aspects of my home. Please don't judge me!
Okay, here is one shot of the corner. Luckily I had removed all the bulk items before I took the picture, otherwise it would be even worse. You can imagine though, that all my bulk cereal, cracker, etc. type things were all over the floor next to this pantry unit. Since there was no real pantry, we bought that white cabinet. The things all over it are Karina's "thankful notes" and lists. In November, we wrote down things we were thankful for every day and she sort of extended it. She also likes to draw and "write" on my list pads, so they are all over the pantry doors.
The black and white painting is Bill's. It's Chicago, but you can't tell from this angle. All the junk on my table is Bill's too. I clean up after him like cleaning up after another kid. And check out Lambkin hanging out on the back of the chair. He's always around if Karina is.
Okay now this is the worst. This is why I needed the extra counters so much. See all this crap all over my counters? I've got dishes drying, appliances taking up space and not being used enough, baby bottles (on the right) and formula out...you name it. And there's Lambkin again.
I'm still working on getting the new cabinets organized. Some things will stay out and some are put away. Right now I have no idea what I'm going to put in the second drawer, but that's a good problem to have! You can see Karina has her art and things on the fridge as well as the dishwasher. This table isn't staying in our kitchen. It's in the dining room now, and we have a different one in the kitchen now, one that's smaller. I can't wait to show you the pictures. It looks so great, and the countertop is NOT pink!! The one we have now is some weird 80s looking pinkish swirly thing. I do not like it one bit, and I like pink.
Now, here are a few other pictures to share. I thought you'd enjoy some since I so rarely get around to posting pictures. A few of Elena actually smiling and one with my grandmother, who will be 86 years old this summer and who is so in love with her newest great-granddaughter. She says all the time how she never imagined she'd be lucky enough to have great-grandkids.
Hope all of you survived the switch for daylight savings time. I hate it, but spring forward is better with kids than fall back is. Yeah. They don't fall back...I can't wait for them to just do away with it altogether. I think it's lame. Have a good week!

I wonder if they'll ever do away with it. Didn't it start because of farming? Good heavens!
When all is said and done in your kitchen, it's going to be amazing!
You've sure got a cutie pie there!
